For 2017, the Everest features several cosmetic changes including an updated lid design and a different placement for the ignition button. On Amazon, it's referred to by its model number, MS2HP, not as the Everest.
The Everest remains our Editors' Choice for many years and shares the title with the Stansport 2-Burner. The test results showed these two models so close in performance that we couldn't award just one. The Stansport barely edged out the Everest in simmering capability, but this minor difference is only noticeable when comparing them side-by-side. The Everest is a couple of pounds lighter, making transportation easier. If you plan on cooking for large groups of people, consider a heavier-duty, freestanding model like the Camp Chef Pro 60.
